I have had the pleasure of enjoying Cupcakes by Katie’s cupcakes at many a wedding I have photographed and they are DIVINE so of course I said yes when she asked me to take some shots of her cakes for promotions. They tasted just as good as they look – just ask my kids!

Mandii is my gorgeous hairdresser and I use her for all our boudoir sessions, makeup was by Michelle C my resident makeup artist.

William’s Wish

In Dec 2011 our son Connor was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis at age 2. JIA is a serious, painful disabling auto immune disease in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissue, joints and in some cases organs. Untreated, joints become eroded and deformed disabling the child. Eye inflammation associated with JIA if left intreated can lead to glaucoma, cataracts and blindness. The cause is unknown and there is no cure. JIA affects 1/1000 people yet many aren’t aware of this disease and it is often misunderstood. Treatment for JIA include NSAIDS, steroids, joint injections, low dose chemotherapy drugs and biologics.

William’s Wish was founded by Lauren & David Harris when their beautiful boy William passed away from complications of JIA in April 2011 – he was 6 years old. I never met William but he has left a lasting impact on me and I am so inspired by his family who, through their own grief have created

William’s Wish – which aims to raise awareness and funds for kids with JIA. So please visit William’s Wish Facebook page and if you can please donate.

I will be holding some fundraising initiatives in 2012 for this cause which is very close to my heart.

Together we can make William’s Wish come true – a cure for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.

Well today I am absolutely beside myself with excitement. When I started on my photography journey I knew I wanted this to become more than a hobby or a part time passion I wanted this as a career. So I threw myself in with both feet, worked hard, abandoned my family to a degree, lots of investment into my business, my training, my equipment, the creation of a professional studio, and of course taking thousands of photographs.

All this has come together and now I am very proud to announce that I am an Accredited Professional Photographer with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography!

This is absolutely a dream come true for me and a massive achievement, in 2011 I was voted the #1 wedding photography supplier in the WA ABIA awards as voted by past brides and grooms.
